The Bay Area is one of the world’s most important focal points for smart mobility. Between the technology and funding clout of Silicon Valley and San Francisco serving as an incubator and real-world test lab for cutting-edge transportation solutions, it’s an ideal location for the fourth-annual C3 Smart Mobility Summit.
Since 2014, the C3 Group has assembled the top thought leaders in the space to discuss the immense opportunities and equally significant challenges that face smart mobility and the transformation of transportation through technology. Stakeholders from automakers’ Silicon Valley labs, the top tech firms in the area, the research community, local policymakers and media are present at the C3 Smart Mobility Summit to discuss the most timely and pressing topics.
“Since success is never achieved alone, we facilitate impactful relationships among thought leaders because we believe the environmental and social benefits of smart mobility are enormous,” says C3 Group President and Cofounder Doug Newcomb. “C3’s network and unique perspective provides unparalleled access to the right people with original content that goes beyond current thinking in an environment where lasting relationships result in powerful insights and opportunities.”
At this year’s Smart Mobility Summit, the C3 Group will engage a group of high-level speakers and stakeholders that allows participants to walk away with new insights and connections. Onstage topics will include:

At this year’s Smart Mobility Summit, the C3 Group is excited to join forces with French Tech Hub to host the fast-pitch competition finalists featuring the most exciting transportation startups from France and the Bay Area. After a round-one of competition the day prior at the French Tech Hub offices, the finalists will present to a panel of venture capital mobility experts to determine the final winner of the competition and grand prize.
Lastly, the C3 Group will debut several new features to increase audience engagement at the Smart Mobility Summit. These include in-the-round seating, an event app that allows greater attendee participation and polling and a cool throwable microphone called Catchbox for audience Q&A.
“Our organization was born from the belief that autonomous cars, connected cars and smart mobility are not just built with machines and data,” Newcomb adds. “But also through strategic relationships, handshakes and shared experiences. We believe the promise of smart mobility will become reality when innovators and thought leaders share fresh ideas, working together toward a common vision.
There’s no better way to experience -inspiring mobility together -than at the 4th annual C3 Smart Mobility Summit in San Francisco on October 26.”
